This Thursday, November 7th, we present you Mike Paul (Kuekuatsheu)!

Mike Paul (Kuekuatsheu) is a Pekuakamiulnu singer-songwriter born in Mashteuiatsh, an Innu community located on the shorelines of Pakuakamit (Lac-Saint-Jean), in the non-transferred traditional territory of Nitassinan. His compositions are inspired by First Nations life, nature, history and culture and have a folk and traditional sound. He sings in Innu-aimun, English and French. Mike Paul has participated in numerous live television programs, he has made soundtracks for television programs, including Mishkuenita on APTN.

Mike Paul (Kuekuatsheu) has performed numerous concerts in Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick for 10 years, his latest album is called Origine, album for which it was nominated in the category of best Inuit album, in Aboriginal or French language at the Indigenous music awards 2019.https://paum79.wixsite.com/kuekuatsheu

We will also have the pleasure of listening to the music of D.J. Señor Kiko who will make us dance as was the case in past evenings. Resident DJ for the Native ART • CULTURE evenings, Señor Kiko is a Montreal based DJ from Mexico City. DJ Señor Kiko presents the new electronic Latin sound with rhythms like Tribal, Tropical Bass and Nu Cumbia, taking Influence from labels records in South America such as ZZK records, Regional Label and Terror Negro. https://kikourban.github.io/
